Holiday house

3 br Country House on 22 acres in Darwin Rural

Your chance to experience the real Territory life in your own bushland, the way you want to. There's no neighbour within cooee - just a couple of buffalo, bird chorus at dawn, wallabies hopping in the dusk and a glimpse of the famous Ghan passing by.

You'll appreciate this home with its unique "rustic touch" and a "laid back put your feet up" feeling. Wide verandahs on all sides, established gardens with expansive tree-line views make for easy casual living - complete with spa, barbeque, outdoor setting, bar & bar fridge.

The house isn't flash but it's simple, compact and comfortable with air-conditioning throughout. There's a central open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area with two bedrooms at one end and a third bedroom at the other with access to bathroom, toilet and laundry.
The kitchen is well equipped with cookware, appliances, crockery for 8, utensils, stove/oven, microwave, fridge etc.

In the lounge there's a TV with Blu-Ray DVD and a click clack couch which folds down for extra bedding if required.

All bedrooms have air-conditioning, overhead fans, double beds and open wardrobes. Linen is supplied.

Locality

• Ideally situated 55 km from Darwin. A perfect base for day trips to Berry Springs, Territory Wildlife Park, Adelaide River Jumping Crocs, Lake Bennet or Litchfield National Park.
• Dream about catching a Barra? Corroboree Billabong, Adelaide River, Mary River, Dundee, Finniss River all in a day trip.
• On the way to Kakadu National Park & Katherine Gorge (Nitmiluk National Park).

Children are welcome under parental guidance as this is a rural property with a dam and livestock.

The property boundary is tropical woodland with a wet season creek. You may spot plovers, ibis, ducks etc with kite circling. There are also lots of butterflies down in the paperbark forest.

Farmland Experiences

Other farm animals, Farm animals live on the property.

Livestock - We have 2 young tame (at present) buffalo and a shy droughtmaster bull. These animals roam from the dam in the front paddock to the paperbark forrest at the back of the property. There are also wild pigs around at various times.
If you go for a nature walk, please ensure that you close the gates that are marked with signage behind you.

Small dogs (less than 11 kg) are permitted, Large dogs (34 kg or heavier) are permitted, Pets are permitted outside only, Secure, fully fenced running area.

Pets are permitted on the verandah and in the fenced yard surrounding the house. In the grounds dogs must be kept on a leash and other pets controlled so as not to interfere with livestock and/or wildlife. Pets are not allowed inside the house. An additional cleaning fee will be charged if pets have been found to be inside the house.
