"Ambleside is a fabulous little cottage. Clean and thoughtfully equipped, with nice unexpected extras such as CDs/DVDs. Wood was topped up by the owners so we always had enough to keep the place toasty. Within easy walking distance of Leura's restaurants and boutiques. Very quiet and peaceful location with a lovely English-style cottage garden."

We loved the service and our host was kind enough to get the fire going so it would be warm when we got there. He also spant time giving us very useful information. Overall it was a very pleasant experience."

We did enjoy the open fire and the supplied firewood was handy

The accommodation is what one would expect from one's own family, very modest and homely.
I would thoroughly recommend a stay at Ambleside especially during the winter months, the mountains are at their majestic best.
