Cottage, Holiday house

Lila Jeans Cottage is a heritage listed building which was built in 1839 and relocated to its present site in Memory Lane centrally located in the heart of Latrobe. The cottage is beautifully furnished with antique furniture and old world charm. Fully self contained,can sleep up to six people with two queen size bed rooms (one upstairs with own toilet and vanity) and one double bed in alcove at bottom of the stairs all with electric blankets.The lounge room has a television and electric heating. The large country kitchen with fridge, oven, microwave, tea and coffee making facilities and everything you need for self catering. Laundry with washing machine. seperate toilet. The main bathroom has a shower bath and vanity.

Latrobe is a bustling country town renowned for its antique shops, weekend markets,chocolate factory, cafes and specialty shops. Also the Axemans Hall of Fame, Bells Parade and Sherwood Hall on the banks of the Mersey River, where you may see a platypus as you meander olong the river bank, in this the platypus capital of the world. Just 10 minutes drive from Devonport, The Spirit of Tasmania ferries and Devonport Airport, Latrobe is conveniently located in the central north of Tasmania, less than 1 hours drive to Launceston or Burnie and under 2 hours to Cradle Mountain.
