"Absolutely perfect. Just what we needed but more than we expected. We enjoyed all the home comforts provided for us by our lovely hostess. Our room and view from our balcony were perfect and we took the canoe out on the lake for a few hours fishing - even caught a few. Had a scrumptious meal at the Italian place in town one evening and finished it off with one or two glasses of sherry and some chocolates provided for us back at the guest house. We were very lucky with the weather too, it couldn't have been more perfect. All in all a very enjoyable long weekend. We would definitely go again. Good value for money."

"Wonderful accommodation for a very decent price, which is even better value for money if you stay for two or more nights. Great views over the lake, and the hosts are marvelous. Kitchen and TV area is shared, but these are very spacious and feel just like an extension to your room. We never even bothered to shut the door to our room. Many B&B's could learn a lot from Lake Escape Lodge."

Suggestions about what to do and where to go led us to visit the Hunter Gardens (for one) - a magical place, and go for some great walks close by. A most enjoyable few days spent here."
