The Heavens Mountain Escape is an exclusive, secluded retreat, located just below the escarpment that surrounds the beautiful Kangaroo Valley. The Heavens is ideal for that romantic getaway, or a relaxing holiday with friends. You can spend your time here relaxing and taking in the magnificent view, or you could partake in one of the many activities in and around Kangaroo Valley. Each cottage has been situated to offer guests maximum privacy whilst still taking full advantage of the spectacular views of Kangaroo Valley.
"Aurora" and "Inanna" cottages were opened in September 2002, and are architect designed single bedroom cottages, designed exclusively for couples. They offer king-size beds, two-person spa baths situated to take in the maginificent view, TV, stereo and DVD players. Neither cottage is suitable for children. These cottages are well equipped if you wish to cook for yourself, containing a gas cooktop, convection microwave oven and BBQ - the kitchens also have a dishwasher, fridge and all the other necessary cooking utensils. There is a gas log fire for those chilly winter nights. Also a washing machine, useful for longer stays.
"Elysium" cottage has two bedrooms, and is designed for either couples, or four people. Children are welcome in this cottage. It offers queen-size beds in both bedrooms, a corner spa bath, TV, stereo and DVD player. The cottage is well equipped if you wish to cook for yourself, containing an electric cooktop, convection microwave oven and BBQ - the kitchen also has a fridge and all the other necessary cooking utensils. Alternately, you may choose to try one of the many restaurants and cafés in Kangaroo Valley, which is only a five minute drive away. Should you wish to go further afield on your culinary excursion, the towns of Berry, Bowral and Nowra are all within 30 minutes drive of The Heavens. We also have a range of dine-in options that can be delivered to your door.

Perched high upon a mountaintop overlooking the beauty that is Australia. Inanna, once again has been our sanctuary, our little place in Heaven. Always leaving with mixed emotions. Can't wait to be back again. Breathtaking!

Local Attractions

There are many things to do in and around Kangaroo Valley. Canoeing, tennis, horse riding, swimming, golf, wine tasting, bushwalking and shopping are all activities that you can enjoy nearby. Alternatively, you can enjoy a leisurely stroll around the property, making sure to introduce yourselves to the abundant wildlife. We are also within a 45 minute drive of the Southern Highlands, golden beaches of the Shoalhaven, wineries, and the dolphins at Jervis Bay.

Property

Our 160 acre property, on the side of Barrengarry Mountain, is home to our ever increasing herd of alpacas as well as providing many acres of virgin bushland as a sanctuary for hundreds of eastern grey kangaroos, common wallaroos, swamp wallabies, wombats, echidnas and the endangered spotted quoll. Birdwatchers will be enchanted be the wonderful array of feathered visitors. Our daily visitors at the water trough include pairs of gang gang cockatoos, king parrots and black cockatoos.
Our resident kookaburras dive bomb unsuspecting creatures in the paddocks and our sleek satin bower birds create their magical bowers to tempt their lady friends!! A haven for all!!
