Sweetwater Lodge is a private luxury retreat surrounded by a magnificent mountain range within the Wet Tropics World Heritage listed rainforest in the cool tropical climate of Julatten.

Relax and unwind at this exceptional new architect designed property on the edge of the rainforest and overlooking our beautiful freshwater creek. Explore the rainforest on our 160 acres.

Spot our resident platypus, the agile wallabies, water dragons, go bushwalking, birdwatching, photographing or simply get away from it all in this tropical natural wonderland.
Enjoy your own log fire on cool winter's evenings, string up your hammock alongside the creek and watch the sun set behind the mountains.

Locality

Situated in the hills just 30 mins. drive from Port Douglas in the cooler tropical climate of Julatten within the World Heritage Listed Wet Tropics region of Australia and at the gateway to Cape York Peninsula.

Centrally located in this wonderfully diverse region of Tropical North Queensland.

Explore the Atherton Tablelands, Port Douglas, Cairns, Kuranda, Cape Tribulation and the Daintree National Park, all between 30mins and 90 mins. drive from the lodge.

Property

Sweetwater Lodge comprises of 160 acres of partly cleared and partly rainforest covered land with easily accessible walks. Hunter's Creek with it's crystal clear water runs through the property.

The accommodation includes two newly built, architect designed, private self contained lodges built over the edge of a hill and overlooking the creek and rainforest beyond.

Both lodges are beautifully appointed and enjoy wonderful mountain views.

Each lodge accommodates two people in either a king bed or king twin configuration. There is also a bush bbq facility on the edge of the creek together with a central firplace.
