Rocky Tops is situated in Dalgety, overlooking the famous Snowy River in the Snowy Mountains of NSW. Dalgety is 35kms from Jindabyne on the Dalgety Rd and is 18kms from Berridale. Cooma is 50km away via the highway or along a most scenic route via Bobundara. The snowfields of Thredbo and Perisher Blue are 70km from Dalgety about 1 hours drive.
"Rocky Tops" is a large home set on 23 acres, with panoramic rural and mountain views. It is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Jindabyne, allowing privacy and relaxation. The entrance to "Rocky Tops" is opp. the cafe and Dalgety Public School.
LocalityThe township of Dalgety offers a historical touch to your holiday, with many heritage listed buildings in the area. The local "Buckley Crossings Hotel" is a relic of Australian history and worthy of a visit. They serve meals 2-3 nights a week and children are welcome. Please call 64 565 023 for details. You can access the Hotel from Rocky Tops by foot.
There is a local cafe-shop-postoffice, nearby which serves great coffee and snacks open 10am - 5pm daily. Fuel can also be purchased from Tues - noon Sat, at the local garage.
The local Snowy Mountains area offer great ski fields and a host of other adventures. Horse riding, trout fishing, wineries, sailing and swimming, wake boarding and waterskiing are all available and more information can be obtained from the tourist centre. PropertyThe home has 4 bedrooms and sleeps 10 comfortably. The main bedroom has a huge kingsize bed and ensuite, the 2nd bedroom has a queensize bed and the 3rd bedroom has a double. The 4th bedroom has 3 single beds. There is a large bathroom downstairs with a spa bath. There are laundry facilities and an extra toilet as well.
The living area occupies half the downstairs area of the house and has a large dining table, lounge room and a modern kitchen. Most kitchen gadgets are provided for your convenience. There is a DVD player.
Be prepared to bring your own linen and towels, but doonas, pillows and blankets are provided.
There is a large fridge/freezer available and an outdoor wood-fire BBQ.
We will try to be available on arrival for our guests, but sometimes this is impossible if you are arriving late at night. Provisions will be made for you if this is the case, please let us know.
