Holiday house

Enjoy the ultimate family holiday with a fantastic beach at your doorstep and incredible wildlife abounding on the island or relax with friends on the huge deck enjoying local wine and freshly caught fish.

The Deck provides great facilities including a huge open plan living & dining area with polished floor boards, fabulous covered deck with roasting barbeque and table and chairs, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher & microwave, TV, CD & DVD player. Separate Laundry and a mooring provided for your own boat.

The Deck is the ultimate place to stay for a wonderful beach holiday on Kangaroo Island.

Locality

The Deck is conveniently situated at Island Beach halfway between Penneshaw and American River and only 15 mins drive from the ferry terminal. Island Beach is 5kms long and is a perfect swimming beach. Fishing charters leave nearby and you can feed the pelicans on the beach front. There is a fish cleaning table at The Deck and for those with their own boat - a private mooring for your use. For lunch enjoy local fare at Dudley wines and sunset winery and marvel at the abundance of wildlife such as wallabies, kangaroos, sea lions, echidnas and koalas all over the island.

Property

The Deck provides self-catering accommodation so you can be totally independant.There is a supermarket nearby at Penneshaw and a small store at Island Beach. The house is beautifully appointed with all bedrooms carpeted and dunas and pillows on all beds. There is a full size laundry and the kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of cooking facilities for eight people. The house is elevated amongst the tree tops for spectacular views. It faces north and catches the sun in winter and the sea breeze in summer - What more could you ask for!!
