PropertyLocated centrally amongst the Hunter Valley vineyards, Misty Glen Cottageis situated on our family vineyard, just a few minutes drive from all of the Hunter's most popular wineries, restaurants and attractions.
Jim and Carol Wright purchased the picturesque property in mid 1985 with a small attached vineyard in dire need of some TLC, with plantings of Semillon, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. Plantings of Shiraz in 2000 and 3 acres of Chambourcin in 2002. The vineyard had a irrigation system installed in September 2000 to compensate for the dry/drought conditions, also a vineyard management program has been put into place to help produce high quality grapes for The Wright Family Wine Label.
In the autumn and winter months you can watch the mist roll up across the flats from the Hunter River, through the bottom of the property and right up through the vineyard - hence the name Misty Glen.
