Cottage, Holiday house, Holiday unit, Holiday apartment, Bed & Breakfast, Self-contained apartment

A comfortable and modern cottage, located on five waterfront acres overlooking Ralph's Bay, Mortimer Bay and Gorringes Beach on Hobart's Paradise Peninsula.

From the cottage, you cannot sense anything other than extraordinary water views, and a panoramic vista of Mount Wellington and the distant riverfront suburbs of Hobart. Apart from the appearance of one or two windsurfers on the right day or the occasional walker, the privacy and solitude are palpable.

Yet the cottage is located in an outer suburb of Hobart, 20 minutes from the domestic airport, and less than 10 minutes from the waterfront suburb of Lauderdale.

What a beautiful way to start our honeymoon. What a perfect place, we won't find anything like it anywhere. 'Howz the serenity'!

Locality

Located on 'Paradise Peninsula' at Sandord, an outer suburb of Hobart, just 20 minutes from the airport.

Walking tracks are at your front door. The ‘Tangara Trail’ starts at South Arm, passes by the Boat Shed, and ends at Seven Mile beach, a distance of 15 kilometres. The Boat Shed overlooks Gorringes Beach on Mortimer Bay with 3 kilometres of white sandy beach to stroll along, and hardly a soul to be seen.

To relax, you can select from a library of reading material, produce the next Piccasso at your leisure, select from our movie collection, or simply watch the ever-changing weather roll down the Derwent River or across the bay.

From the Boat Shed, it is an easy drive to all places on the Tasman Peninsula. Close to golf courses, wineries, restaurants, horse riding and the beautiful beaches of the South Arm.

Minimum stay 2 consecutive nights.

Property

The Boat Shed is a small but cleverly designed cottage specifically catering for couples. The well-proportioned living area, kitchen/dining area, separate bedroom, and bright and airy bathroom with laundry, all share the same amazing view of Ralph's Bay and beyond to the Derwent River.

Breakfast provisions include fruit juice, cereals, fresh fruit, free range eggs and bacon, bread for toast and home made preserves, tea and plunger coffee.

Included in The Boat Shed is heating and air-conditioning, queen sized bed, television, DVD/CD player, gas cook-top, microwave/convection oven, toaster, full sized refrigerator/freezer, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, washing machine, books, magazines, games, a selection of CD's and complimentary DVD's are also available for use. All linen, crockery and cutlery is also provided.
