We generally accept 1 large dog as a rule but all enquiries are flexible. Dogs are most welcome inside as long as they bring their own bedding with them. We provide water bowls and every dog receives a special treat on arrival.

Cottage, Bed & Breakfast, Self-contained apartment

Featuring stained glass windows and furnished with antique pieces and collectables, this cosy self-contained accommodation offers a living and dining room, double bedroom, separate bathroom and a private courtyard (no grass). The cottage is ideally suited for a couple but arrangements can be made for extra people. The fully stocked kitchen is equipped with all the modern conveniences so it's just like a home away from home. There is a spot for 1 motor vehicle, off-road but not undercover.

Conveniently located to shops, amenities and public transport, this heritage Bed and Breakfast accommodation offers privacy and ambience while being within close proximity to the CBD, North Hobart restaurants, theatre and the City's fine arts centre.

Start the day with a breakfast platter of local free range eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans, cereal, yogurt and seasonal fresh fruit. Also provided are home-made cakes, slices and jams, port and chocolates.

We very much thank you for the chance to live one day in your lovely English/Tasmanian home, where you with much love collected all the old bits and pieces to decorate this wonderful house. Despite the short stay, we felt at home.

How our B&B was named

Peck's on Pine Victorian Cottage is so named in memory of a very special person, my dad - Patrick Michael Connolly - fondly known by his family as "Mr Peck", who sadly passed away in 2002 in Sydney.

"Mr Peck" was his nickname, taken from the book "Peck's Bad Boy and his Pa" by George Peck. Even though my dad lived most of his life in New South Wales , he always had a special place in his heart for Tasmania and dreamed of running a bed and breakfast cottage. His memory now lives on through Peck's on Pine Victorian Cottage, and in our hearts.

Rover receives a gift on arrival. Peck's doesn't support intensive animal farming so bacon is not included, unless specifically requested.

A higher rate is charged for single night bookings ie $170 per night for a couple. A 2 night booking is $160 per night. A 3-4 night booking is $150 per night. 4 nights plus is $140-$150. The weekly/long term rate is $130 per night. These rates include breakfast provisions. Extra persons attract a further rate of between $15 and $25 per night (child or adult).
