We offer the choice of "a little bit retro" 60's cottage,The Caretaker's cottage with separate bedroom with a queen bed,fully equipped kitchen,separate laundry and large sunny living area and covered carport:
Or Wren cottage, a heritage baltic-lined cottage with wheelchair
access and facilities,king-sized bed,modern bathroom and small kitchenette with microwave oven,electric pans, and fridge. There are shared laundry facilities and a large sunny atrium to relax in adjacent to the cottage.Wren is our pet-friendly room and has a small exterior enclosure in addition to the atrium.Small pets only,and these may be brought inside.
Guests in both cottages might enjoy sitting in our large gazebo in the garden,surrounded by citrus trees
and roses.

Magnificent federation mansion set in large gardens with a citrus grove.
Built in 1903 for the first premier of Tasmania following Federation,Werndee later became a hostel for up to 100 boys,a school of hospitality and conference centre.
The house has been lovingly restored and features magnificent Australian timbers. Guests are invited to tour the house.

Pet friendly

Small dogs (less than 11 kg) are permitted, Pets are permitted inside, Secure, fully fenced running area, Food and water bowls provided, Other domesticated animals reside at the property.

We have a covered enclosed area and an outside fenced run available for small dogs with Wren cottage. They may also be allowed inside Wren cottage. We may accept well behaved cats and 2 small dogs are also acceptable. Wren cottage is too small for large dogs unless they are restricted to the covered enclosed area adjacent to Wren cottage.
