For those who like bush experience with a bit of luxury ,good bed , shower and toilet , ,12 volt electric lights , working antique washing machine ( hand operated ). There is also a small kitchen , sink with water and a small dining area .
Camp in our converted bus " Miss Adventure " she has finished touring around and has retired at Turondale over looking the beautiful Turon River . Comfortable beds in the fly screened enclosed bus make for pleasant sleeping and the covered shady verandah with water front views is a excellent spot to sit and relax with a drink and a bbq .
You are required to bring your own sleeping bags etc with you as we cannot supply linen .
There is also a nice grassed area around the open fire !
Explore near by Hill End , Mudgee , Sofala , Wattle Flat and Bathurst . Near by Wineries ,cafe's etc . Four wheel drive treks close by . An abundance of fruit is available for picking along the river with peaches , apricots , figs , nectarines , oranges and blackberries being a legacy of the gold miners , these fruits are in season in the warmer months! Please note : when making enquiries please text me a message to the mobile phone number supplied when you make your enquiry through TakeABreak as I am quite often in the bush for a week at a time and do not have internet available .
Please note guests are required to supply there own esky and ice for their food and drinks , a wood bbq is available .
Horse riding is available in the area , intending guests should make arrangements for horse riding as far in advance as practical!

Locality
Situated at Turondale NSW 33.03.164S 149.37.110E North of Bathurst , South of Mudgee , East of Hill End and West of Sofala in the heart of the Central West Gold Fields , gold prospectors still pan gold in the river below the bus and gold nuggets are detected on a regular basis . There are old gold diggings on the property along with the remains of old rock huts from the diggers of yester year. There are beautiful swimming hole's around the bus , a short walk brings you to a beautiful swimming hole where to date we have never had to share with anyone else !
Fishing
Fishing in the river .
Carp are the most dominant fish in the river and provide excellent sport on bait , fly or lure' like soft plastic's . There a small number of red fin and at times a few native fish can be found . Within a short drive of the property some of the best fishing in Australia is located , Windamere Dam is one of NSW's hottest native fishery , The Cudgegong River below the dam has been described as one of the best trout stream's in NSW but it is also one of our best kept secret's .
Add Rylestone Weir , Kandos, Weir , Burrandong Dam and Macquarie River and you realise you are in the centre of a fishing hot spot !
Gold is found on a regular basis in the river and hills around the bus , fossicking is very popular and a lot of people spend days panning for gold in the river below . Old gold miners huts are still visible on the property . Wildlife abounds around the bus , it is not uncommon to wake and find kangaroo's or wallabies feeding on the lawn in front of the bus !
