"We loved our stay at Avalon. We had 6 adults and a child and all fitted in and around with no trouble. It is tranquil and the town is gorgeous. We were hesitant at first of the drive up to the snow fields everyday as many said we would regret not staying on the mountain but we were thankful we thought with our wallets. The cost per night was 1/3 of the mountain retreats and 3 times the size therefore even cheaper divided between the group. The drive to Hotham was a nice 15-20 mins and not a burden at all. Loved it and will stay again , the little towns surrounding Harrietville are fantastic and the wineries too much to handle!! "
