The front veranda offers views to the Grampians National Park. At first light the range is often bathed in red and changes colour and atmosphere as the day progresses. At night, they is a myriad of stars. The back veranda, complete with gas barbecue and comfortable outdoor setting, takes in the bush vista where you can watch the wildlife emerge at dusk.

Oh, there is a house there too. a comfortable three bedroom house with two queen size beds and two single beds making it ideal for couples or families. After enjoying the wildlife and the views you can entertain yourself with a TV, sound system and DVD player. There is also a laundry and well equipped kitchen with electric stove and microwave.

Feeling cold? Light the fire. Feeling hot? Set the air conditioner going. Feel like indulging yourself? Fill the spa!

Things to do and see

The Grampians is world renowned for its scenery and has a variety of bush walks from short strolls to three day walks, or you could take a guided tour to some of the lesser known places or some of the Aboriginal rock art sites. The area is also famous for its rock-climbing with over 60 rock climbing sites offering a variety of single and multi-pitch climbing. Several local companies are happy to take out both beginners and experienced climbers.
Visit in spring time and see flowers that grow nowhere else in the world. Visit the Grampians Wildflower Show and the Pomonal Australian Native Plant show at the same time.
Paddle a canoe or go fishing in nearby Lake Bellfield or take a bike ride along the cycle path to Brambuk the National Park and Cultural Centre. Visit the Brambuk cafe and sample Bush Tucker or browse in the gift shop for books or souvenirs. Watch films explaining the geological and Aboriginal history of the area.
For a day out with a difference visit some of the local wineries, the Halls Gap Zoo, the lavender farm, or have a massage or visit one of the day spas.

Property features

Roos with a View is ideally located only 10 minutes walk from the local Halls Gap Hotel and 3km from Halls Gap centre. On a 1.5 acre bush block it is the ideal place to watch the wildlife in the comfort of a well-equipped family home.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with tea, coffee and sugar supplied.
With reverse cycle air-conditioning, wood fire (with fire screen) and electric blankets the house is well-equipped for both hot and cold weather. There is also a portacot and high chair available. A deck at the back of the house and veranda at the front provide plenty of outdoor options too.
