"The owners put you at ease straight away nand were very attentive to your needs, the breakfast provided within their house was excellent along with their friendly informative insight to Canberra's tourist attractions and how to get there etc..
The carriage we stayed in "4388" was fantastic, we arrived mid Friday afternoon to find our names on a blackboard welcoming us aboard plus the log fire was already up and running, so cosy and romantic. Accommodation was excellent, all cooking utensils provided including a B-b-que. Watching the western sunset over the distant ranges from the timber deck with cheese & bickies plus of coarse a glass of wine in the other hand, well it just doesn't get better than that, of coarse the lady of your mdreams right besides you.
The attention to detail by the owners certainly did not go un-noted. Five stars xxxxx
Enjoy "

"We loved that the train was "different" from other forms of same old, same lod accomodation and was very well laid out and had everything you could need for 1 night or 10 nights."

"There were lots of great things about Ambledown Brook. The relaxing & comfortable atmosphere, the train decor themes, the local wildlife, closeby wineries and, to top it off, the delicious home cooked breakfast and friendly chat with the owners."
