Locality & service

Locality

The houseboat has it's own mooring situated on the beautiful Brisbane Waters. There is access by water to retaurants, pubs, clubs, shops, beaches, playgrounds, a market and cinema.

It is a short drive by car to local attractions, historical sites, national parks, botanical gardens, rainforest, major shopping centres and The Australian Reptile Park.

Service

We are a small family business and hire the one boat, we are proud to offer a friendly and reliable service. We are here to help, at no extra cost we will be pleased to teach you how to drive the boat and if you would like some extra assistance we will come on board on a daily basis to guide you to your destination.

Optional extras & costs

Optional extras

Motor for dinghy is $27.50 per day, $55 per weekend, $100 per week.

The generator is $11 per day, $22 per weekend, $50 per week. It powers the microwave, electric toaster, hair dryer, iron and any 240v appliance of your own.

3 kayaks $27.50 each for the duration of the hire.

Berthing at Gosford harbour costs $15 per day. This enables guests to walk from the boat to the shore.

We will shop for you, a small charge applies for more than 12 items.

We will be pleased to collect you from the train station.

Costs

A motoring charge of $27.50 per hour covers fuel, oil and gas.

A damage liability deposit of $1000 is required and will be refunded on the last day of hire when the boat is returned clean, tidy and undamaged.

A bond of 50%of the hire rate is required to confirm the booking. This will be reatined if less than 28 days notice of cancellation is given.

The houseboat is specifically designed for wheelchair users. and can be accessed by a ramp. The toilet and shower are accessible, the shower is moveable and the toilet has a handrail and alert button if assistance is required. Two double beds and one lower bunk bed are accessible; the outdoor decks at the front and rear of the boat are secure and accessible allowing fishing. All windows are at wheelchair height, the lower kitchen workbench cupboards and drawers are accessible as is the dining table, stove, and fridge. The gas hob is at standard kitchen workbench height as is the sink, the microwave and freezer are fitted into the upper kitchen cupboards.The boat is designed to be driven by wheelchair users. Safety equipment is also accessible. The upper deck is reached by a sturdy staircase, the sunloungers BBQ, gas bottles and alfresco dining area are situated upstairs. We teach our customers to drive and if preferred, at no extra cost we will be pleased to come on board on a daily basis to guide you to your destination and "show you the ropes".

How? This houseboat is designed to sleep 10 people comfortably. We have a basic hire rate for 6 people which means that if you less than 10 people in your group, you will hire a large boat at the same or better rate that other companies charge for 6 to 9 people. Our rates are so competetive, we regularly welcome groups of less that 6 people.

The basic hire rate is for 6 people, an additional rate per person is charged to a maximum of 10

The minimum hire period is for 1 night 2 days mid week.
1 night at the weekend is available from March to Oct excluding public holidays.

Weekend hires are from 4pm Fri to 4pm Sun.

Mid week hires are from 9am to 4pm excluding Fri which ends at 1pm.
