"We stayed three nights recently at Birks River House Garden Retreat. An amazing location, decor is outstanding, views of the river are amazing, gardens are vast & indulgent, furnishings opulent but casual. The bay window in the master bedroom is unbeatable for an afternoons relaxing with a book and watching the light fade over the river, I am usually very hard to please. So worth the visit.Thanks"

Locality

Goolwa is an historic river port, which oozes with history of the river trade, wooden boats, prolific birdlife, heritage architecture & magnificent coastal beaches. Birks River House is located opposite historic Birks Harbour, 1 km from the main street of Goolwa, Restaurants and Galleries.

Property

Birks River House has been restored, with an elegant blend of traditional craftsmanship, luxury with coastal feel. It has been converted into two PRIVATE spacious retreats. Set in beautiful private gardens surrounded by majestic trees where guests can relax, unwind and enjoy the original artwork and maritime features. Experience the birdlife in the private gardens in peace and tranquillity, laze around the pool or in front of the fire and just enjoy the ambience of the river, day or night.

Both self contained retreats are private and open plan living, spacious bedrooms with luxury king size beds and beautiful linen, large contemporary bathrooms with exclusive aromatherapy goods. Private outside areas with alfresco dining, BBQ and outdoor chaise lounges at the swimming pool, are ideal for families or for a group of friends, but also a very special private romantic getaway for couples wanting some quiet time together.

Private off street parking. All is provided just bring yourself! Come & indulge at Birks Harbour.
