The Farmhouse is the last place on a dead end dirt road and on a 75 acre horse stud. Surrounded by the Wombat Forest, it overlooks a beautiful eucalypt forest and Kangaroo Creek meanders along at the bottom of the hillside.

Cottage, Holiday house

Taringa Farmhouse is an uncomplicated family home. No lacey curtains or bowls of potpouri. It's roomy and sunny, has polished wooden floors and comfortable beds. Two queen beds, 2 singles, perfect for a family or a couple who want a hideaway. Pets are welcome but doggies need to be indoors overnight because of the wildlife grazing outside after dark.

If you are seeking total privacy then this is the place for you. It's in the bush, wildlife all about and if you don't plan to eat at restaurants every night, it has everything you'll need. A home away from home...

Locality

Glenlyon is a quaint village 10 minutes from Daylesford.

My advice is to give the shopping a break, why bother driving, everything is here, all you need is food... and a wine or two isn't bad, sitting on the verandah in the afternoons watching the horses grazing on the hillside. That's what I do, hic!

Property

Totally private, peaceful and no neighbours. The house has views from all rooms and it's a 5 minute walk to Kangaroo Creek which meanders through the property. Harmony on a wildlife sanctuary.

Taringa is an accredited Humane Society International Sanctuary and has Land for Wildlife staus. I am surrounded by birds and animals in this private little valley and you'll be undisturbed unless you wander over to my place to say hello or if you need anything.

Taringa Farmhouse and Taringa Stud have Land for Wildlife status. The riparian zone has been rehabilitated by me with the support of the North Central Catchment Authority.

Farm animals live on the property, Horses, Working farm with some limits on guest access to animals.

This is a working horse stud. Guests can feed the horses which come to the fence at the Farmhouse. The peacock wanders about, I have a dog, but it is not a farm stay although guests are welcome to visit me.

Small dogs (less than 11 kg) are permitted, Medium dogs (11 kg to less than 34 kg) are permitted, Large dogs (34 kg or heavier) are permitted, Pets are permitted inside.

Dogs are welcome inside and they need to be in the house overnight because of the wildlife grazing outside. Bush trails for walking are everywhere and they can wander along Kangaroo Creek with the dog.
