The cottage has only been completed recently, and yet has all the rustic charm of Timber paneling and Terracotta floor tiles downstairs. Upstairs you will find a rich mixture of Jarrah and recycled Hardwood flooring.

And out of every window there is a view.

There is the forest on one side, the orchard in front of the Verandah with views over the grassy paddocks on the other side.

You have privacy, tranquility and comfort while staying in the Orchard Cottage. And to keep the temperature under control you have the choice of enjoying the warmth and atmosphere of a Coonara log fire in winter, or keeping your cool thanks to the reverse cycle air conditioning in summer.

You can even arrange to bring your dog or horse along by prior arrangement only.

Locality

The Township of Gembrook is a short drive away and has a number of quality eateries.

Gembrook also has the final station for Puffing Billy if you feel like a ride.

Carinya Park is just across the road from Kurth Kiln Park which has some wonderful walking tracks and picnic spots.

Property

Carinya Park, apart from being an Equestrian Property, is also a Land for Wildlife property. At the front of the property there are nearly 25 acres of Pasture, Native grasslands, and Orchard. At the rear of the property there are close to 60 acres of Forest, Fern gullies, Birds and wildlife.

Around dusk and dawn it is not unusual to see wallabies or wombats on some of the tracks. During daylight Lyrebirds can quite often be seen scratching around on the forest floor. At night for those with patience and good eyesight there are gliders, possums and owls.

Small dogs (less than 11 kg) are permitted, Medium dogs (11 kg to less than 34 kg) are permitted, Pets are permitted inside.

Pets by prior arrangement only. Dogs are permitted inside but not permitted on the furniture. You may want to bring your own bedding for it. There is no defined dog run or kennel outside, but there is a gate on the Verandah which is about a meter high. Being in an unknown environment you may want to keep in mind he/she may get distracted by some of the wildlife or horses and not listen or stay in the vicinity of the cottage if let outside. If any little presents left by the dog could be picked up, that would be very much appreciated.
