Settle into your room, which are large with queen beds & ensuites, electric blankets, hairdryers, Air/con, TV, VCR without loosing the old-world charm.

Start your rest time with afternoon tea on arrival in our breakfast room with views.

A Continental breakfast is provided in the breakfast room, or on the balcony overlooking the Huon River, we can arrange a cooked breakfast as well (extra)great views from both rooms.

We are licenced & serve evening meals,(check when kitchen is open) a menu is available.


Huon Franklin Cottage is situated 8 kilometers outside Huonville (35 mins south of Hobart) in the rolling hills of the Huon Valley.

Huon Franklin Cottage is 1Km south of The Franklin Post Office on the right.

Franklin was the first town settled in the Huon Valley and still retains some original architectural buildings. Your stay in our cottage is close to the southern attractions, Tahune Airwalk, Hastings Caves, Dover, Geeveston the town of Carvings, Ida Bay Railway & a short drive to Bruny Island, Apple Museum and many more.

We take pride in catering for your needs, don't forget if you are celebrating a special day, we can arrange something special. Adult retreat.

We are situated 35 mins south of Hobart, travelling along the A6 to the Huon Valley, through Huonville, 8 kilometres further on you will enter the lovely town of Franklin.

Huon Franklin Cottage is 1 Km south of The Franklin Post Office on the right, opposite the two apple shed.

As you enter the Huon Valley at Grove you will find many attractions:
Apple Museum, Jam factory, Model Train Village, Woodturning, Ship building, bush walking, fishing, Many coffee nooks, The Tahune Walk, Hasting Caves and Thermal Springs.

Huon Franklin Cottage will give you a glimpse of the original owners who built this glorious old family home.

Not only can you enjoy the wonderfull cuisine the Huon has to offer we can help you keep fit in our Mini Gym and spa.
