"Leonie and John are an extremely warm and welcoming couple who keep the grounds and the accommodation in an immaculate condition. It has been very cleverly laid out for busy families!! Our experience was far richer than we had anticipated thanks solely to them. We are still in envy of Leonies lovely vege patch she let us raid!! "

"We were a family group of eight with our elderly mother, The Hollow Log Retreat was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful gardens and countryside, the facilities were great and the disabled bathroom facilities made it a lot easier for our Mother. All in all we all had a wonderfull relaxing time and will book again. Thanks to Leonie and we really enjoyed Bella the dog who kept us entertained - Neil & Marianne"

"There were six of us 3 children 3 adults. Our hosts were very welcoming and our accommodation clean and very comfy. The children ranging in age from 3 - 12 all girls had a wonderful time. They didn't miss TV at all. After tea they set up chairs in front of a tree where they could watch for possums and betalongs vying for food. In the mornings before a continental breakfast (all provided) they set off round the property looking for wildlife. We wished we had provided gumboots as the grass was pretty wet and thus we ended up with very wet sox. All of us enjoyed various walks round the property but the highlight for us was looking for koalas of which we sighted 20 overall. Even though there are koalas on the property we found them most abundant along the road to the property. Would certainly consider this type of holiday again."

"Peaceful, relaxing, stress-free. The guest house was spacious, airy and comfortable. The hosts were gracious, accommodating and unobtrusive. The grounds were beautifully landscaped in a natural way. This is a great place for a family to get away and relax. I would go there again. Have already recommended it to friends and family."

"Our weekend was very relaxing and enjoyable. We leisurely walked around the retreat and enjoyed the natural beauty of the country. The wildlife was great. We saw koalas asleep in the trees and betongs feeding outside our door.Accommadation was wonderful, very well equipped kitchen and more. Whether you want to cuddle into a book or go for a bushwalk the retreat is the place to unwind from reality if only for awhile. Leonie & John were wonderful hosts filling us in on the local history and letting us enjoy their piece of heaven. The retreat is tastefully decorated."
