Cottage, Lodge

The Hollow Log Country Retreat is nestled amongst beautiful native gardens (Australian Open Garden Scheme - "Open Garden", October 24/25, 2009) and natural bushland with stunning views of the surrounding hills. The fully-equipped kitchen and one of the two bathrooms are wheelchair friendly. Relax in the comfortable living area, on the wide log verandahs or in the large garden gazebo. Walking trails around the wildlife corridor bring guests in close contact with local wildlife - koalas, bettongs, wallabies, birdlife. More challenging walks to the top of the 160 acre property provide stunning views of the surrounding countryside, or visit the local natural rock waterhole, Diana's Bath. Friendly farm animals and our two young orphan kangaroos delight our young guests.

"The Hollow Log is a magical place - I love every minute I am here." Bronwyn Davies, band member 'Musicians in Concert'.
"As a family we have travelled and stayed in accommodation all over Australia and we found the extra lovely comforts and attention to detail really makes The Hollow Log Country Retreat stand out. In my experience it is very rare to find a place to excite and enthral all ages and also cater for people with special needs." Ian and Lisa Chapman, Mt Mee, Qld.
