The dogs and cat were very friendly but not annoying. The tinny, kayaks, fishing gear, etc were an added attraction of this wonderful accommodation."

"Skye Cottage is a cut above the rest - not because it's luxurious 5 star tourist accommodation, but because it's a home away from home, and more. From the moment that we were warmly greeted by our host, Pete, we realised that we'd been blessed with our choice of this old, quaint, comfortable, affordable, and delightful little cottage. Pete and Barb's generosity was amazing. Nothing seemed like too much trouble for them. And what a lovely bonus to have homemade bread baked for us and to be able to help ourselves to the delicious veges from their garden. Everything we needed was supplied and that makes holidaying so much easier. Our little dog had an absolute ball frolicking with the owners' dogs. It was a holiday for us just to see her having so much fun! And then there was the dog-sitting service. We didn't even have to worry about how we would visit places that weren't dog-friendly. Barb and Pete to the rescue! The location at Erowal Bay is perfect for peace and quiet. We enjoyed our nightly walks and getting up close and personal with the kangaroos that smooch around the streets. Yet it's only 5-10 minutes drive to the best gorgeous white sandy beaches and turquoise waters, as well as shops and cafes for those who prefer something busier. It was close enough to Sydney for us to share the accommodation for a few days with family members from there. We're from Melbourne. The cottage works well for one or two couples.
This will be a holiday that we'll long remember and be grateful for. Thank you Pete, Barb, the kids, Mollie, and Bickies. I hope we'll be back one day!

"We booked this cottage so we could be near our relatives for Christmas and it was a great spot to base ourselves. It was the cheapest available and yes, it is at the rear of the property so it is close to the main residence but that for us was a great thing. Pete and Barbara could not be more hospitable. This is an old cottage but is extremely clean with beautifully fresh linen, towels and they supply all sorts of extras you would not get normally. They had a bottle of wine and some chocolates waiting for us on the table when we arrived. There was milk and fresh eggs from the chooks they have on site in the fridge. They had teas, coffee, sugar and we were even encouraged to help ourselves to their freshly grown spinach and peaches. All this and a couple of dogs and kids for my daughter to play with made this a great break for us. Thanks Pete & Barb, look forward to seeing you on our next visit south. Lisa & Lara Dec 2012."

"the best thing about our stay were pete and barb. the cottage was cute and clean with comfortable beds. it was a bit of a shock to see how close the cottage was to the main house but pete and barb ensured it felt private and separate for me and my two teenage boys. you could easily feel like one of the family after a couple of visits, or not if thats what you want."
