If you are looking for accommodation in Eltham this well equipped apartment has everything you need for a home-away-from-home stay with a private entrance and undercover car parking.

Sleep in comfort in a queen size bed with quality bedding and electric blanket. The second bedroom has twin single beds and both bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans.

Supplies for a full or continental breakfast are provided for you to prepare at your leisure in the fully equipped kitchen. Breakfast provisions include fresh free range eggs.

You have the use of the gardens around the Lodge and a courtyard both of which have been planted which attract parrots, cockatoos and nectar feeding birds and wildlife. The inground swimming pool is also available to you over summer.

For your indoor relaxation and entertainment the lounge has a television, dvd, radio/cd and a range of books and magazines. Enquire about internet access and fax facilities. Diners Club and American Express accepted.

Beautiful setting, wonderful hosts, every need thought of including a toothbrush for those who don't pack properly.

Locality

Eltham is perfectly situated where Melbourne meets the Yarra Valley.

The Eltham township has an excellent range of restaurants to suit every taste and is on the main metropolitan train line, just 40 minutes by train to the heart of Melbourne.

The area was one of the first settled and is renowned for its mud brick and heritage buildings and rich art history; Montsalvat Artist Community is a few minutes walk from the Lodge. Montsalvat has a full program of concerts, weddings and events. Call in there for a coffee and explore its fascinating artizans' buildings, including the blue stone Great Hall.

The wineries of the Yarra Valley start with Evelyn County Estate just 15 minutes away at Kangaroo Ground and from there you can meander through Christmas Hills to Chandon, De Bortoli and other great wineries of Yarra Glen and Healesville. Or head north through Panton Hill to St Andrews and Kinglake and visit the many and varied boutique wineries and galleries throughout the hills. Stop off for an Aussie counter lunch at acountry pub on the way.

If you don't feel like driving, you will be spoilt for choice in the walks around Eltham South Lodge. The Yarra River and parklands, beautiful Eltham South homes and unspoiled bush and the native wildlife make this area all close to Victoria's capital, Melbourne, a very special place to stay.
