Holiday apartment, Bed & Breakfast

Peacefully located just 2km from Dunkeld, 'Sunrise on Serra' offers guests a spacious, private wing of a country residence. There are three bedrooms, one queen, one double, one twin, a luxury bathroom and a guest's self contained sitting room leading from a private entrance. A generous homestyle cooked breakfast is served in a modern dining area or a breakfast basket is available in your own apartment. With panoramic views of the nearby Serra Range, the rambling gardens feature an attractive gazebo with Gas BBQ, a historic cottage and large ponds (B&B not suitable for young children). A kennel/enclosure is available for guest's pets.

Locality

Dunkeld is situated at the Southern most tip of the Grampians National Park on the Glenelg Highway. There are walks to cater for all ages and abilities only 5 minutes drive from Sunrise on Serra B & B. These include well defined tracks for Mt Sturgeon, Mt Abrupt and Picaninny.

There is an historical walk through Dunkeld, and within 1km from Sunrise on Serra, the Arboretum which contains the second largest collection of Oak trees in Australia. Town attractions include a museum, golf course and excellent dining facilities.

The nearby Grampians National Park offers many outdoor recreational activities. You'll enjoy more than 200km of excellent walking tracks, passing by waterfalls, aboriginal rock art and a diverse range of wildlife and wildflowers.

Property

An Avenue of Eucalyptus Maculatas, Leptospermums and immature English Oaks leads you down the driveway to the B&B.
Lovingly designed with borders of massive rocks and boulders, this casual garden is one of peace and has its own unique charm. Mature exotic trees dot the perimeters and the beds surrounding the wandering paths are home to both old and new drought resistant species. Fruit trees are lush with the addition of water recycling, and the herb bed is constantly productive.

A historic Soldier Settler's cottage is preserved within the garden as well as the attractive Gazebo constructed from Grampian sandstone quarried nearby.

Looking from the garden across the huge Red gum studded neighboring paddocks are panoramic views of the nearby Serra Range.
