Cottage, Holiday house

Lisnagarvey Cottage is situated on a 168 acre working Wagyu Cattle Farm. The cottage is a beautifully renovated dairy bails (4 star) with loads of character, privacy and spectacular views over the plateau. There is one queen bedroom with crisp fresh linen, flowers & bathrobes. A very large bathroom with bath and shower and range of toiletries supplied.Fully equipped kitchenette with hotplates, microwave, toaster, kettle, health grill & extra deep electric frypan.The lounge has a wood fire, TV, DVD player ,CD Player and games as well as your complimentary chocolates & port! The deck has a Gas BBQ and outdoor setting so you can take advantage of the great views.There is also a carport for your vehicle.

Enjoy the complimentary port and chocolates in front of the fire, after indulging in a deep bath with organic soaps and wrap up in a fluffy white bath robe.

A gourmet breakfast basket is included in the B&B tariff or alternatively you may like to self-cater.

The breakfast baskets include:

Continental - Breads, jams, cheese, cereals, milk, juice, tea and ground coffee.

Full Cooked: includes all of the above and sausages, bacon, eggs, mushrooms & tomatoes.

The property still boasts some pockets of remnant rainforest that you are free to explore.

Locality

Dorrigo is famous for its World Heritage National Park, Waterfalls, Rainforest and stunning countryside. Stroll through our art galleries and craft shops and sample some local culinary delights. For the more adventurous at heart there is wild water rafting, canoeing, bush walking or trout fishing. The Dorrigo Steam railway, although not fully operational yet will soon have its staionery museum open to the public.

Property

Lisnagarvey is a working Wagyu cattle farm. We are breeding this Japanese breed for the export market and have been using embryo transfer as a form of obtaining high quality genetics.

The Wagyu breed is well known for its high marbling content and is prized among the Japanese people.

The cottage has been designed with wheelchair access in mind where possible (this building was originally a dairy). The bathroom is completely wheelchair accessible with large shower,(with no hob),hand rails, toilet with area next to it and grab rails and the vanity is open underneath for wheelchair access.

The kitchen has also been designed to allow wheelchair access, with a void under the sink and open shelving for easy access. There is a ramp onto the deck (as there is a small step. The internal doors are sliding to allow maximum width access.
