Nestled within the state forest only twelve kilometres from Donnybrook, in the upper reaches of the Capel River Valley, you will find Boronia Farm, a place of tranquillity and peace.
This 160 acre mixed organic farm is based on Permaculture principals and offers a chance to see a variety of farming activities. Smell and view the scented Boronia growing, in season, in its natural surroundings. Listen to the red-tailed black cockatoos as they fly overhead and marvel at the dainty blue wrens as they dance around your feet.
Wonder at the frog chorus at dusk and the birdsong at dawn. Most evenings you can see kangaroos as they venture into the paddocks from the bush.
Canoe on the dam in privacy with only the birds and creatures of the bush to keep you company. Join in the many different farm activities and pick fruit in season directly from the trees.
Boronia Farm provides a variety of experiences for people of all ages. Young families enjoy the farm experience and interaction with the animals. Take advantage of our 5 nights for the price of 3 and a half from Sunday to Thursday outside of school holidays. The Kids are likely to learn more on a week away with mum and day and you all get to enjoy the South West without all the crowds. Couples of all ages are able to relax in front of the wood fires, bush walk and enjoy the seclusion of the farm where you will be our only guests. We have just the one cottage.
Take advantage of our special discounts and location central to the attractions of the South West. Come to Boronia Farm and experience warm country hospitality, while staying in comfort in the fully self contained cottage.

A peaceful and picturesque setting. Thank you for allowing us to share this little bit of heaven.

Thank you so much for having us. The kids loved feeding the animals and loved milking the goat. They want to come back again. Your place is beautiful. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Tremendous hospitality, fantastic environment, great weather. What more could city slickers like us need for the great escape

Locality

Donnybrook has historically been a fruit growing area but there are now an increasing number of boutique wineries and the old Goldfields Orchard and Cider Factory is near by. The farm is central to the attractions of the South West, Bunbury, Busselton, Balingup and Collie are all within 40 min drive.

Property

The cottage at Boronia Farm was built in the late fifties but has recently been completely renovated, while retaining its’ original character.
The Garden is fully fenced and includes a sand pit and swings so the children can play safely while Mum and Dad relax.
The well equipped country kitchen has a large fridge, gas stove, microwave, and also for old times sake, the original “Meters No 2 improved” woodstove. If you prefer to cook outside, we have a gas BBQ and outdoor furniture.
An automatic washing machine, iron and ironing board are included.
A colour TV and DVD player is available at no extra cost, but if you would prefer to read, play some board games or do jigsaws and enjoy the quiet of Boronia Farm we will happily remove it from temptation! In winter why not spend the evening watching the flames in the wood fire instead, or in summer enjoy the cool nights on the veranda and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the country.
Boronia Farm lies within the Argyle block of the state forest and is surrounded by bush. Our farm consists of 160 acres, of which some 50 Acres is bush (recognised under the Land for Wildlife Scheme) including a large area of Boronia Swamp. We run beef cattle and a few sheep and goats as well as a menagerie of different poultry. There is also a “fruit salad” orchard, so there is generally (but not always) some fruit in season.
Much time can be spent walking and exploring the bush on and around the farm, watching the bird life on the dams and in the bush. See the Kangaroos grazing at dawn and dusk.
Enjoy the variety of wildflowers in season and experience the beauty of scented Boronia in it’s natural habitat.
Relax and enjoy a drink on the veranda overlooking the small dam as dusk descends and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the country.
