Cottage, Bed & Breakfast, Farm stays

A 10 acre property with history, built by Nevil Shute (Norway) where he wrote some of his most famous novels during the 1950s, including "On the Beach", "Requiem for a Wren", and "Beyond the Black Stump".

The two cottages have been extensively renovated to provide luxury getaways. Both have their own private entrances, separate bedroom and all the facilities to provide you with long or short-term accommodation whilst you explore the peninsula surf beaches, exquisite wineries, world famous golf courses, craft markets and racecourses.

The children will love the big safe garden with swings, wild ducks, abundant birdlife and friendly ponies.

Situated at the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula, Devon Park is easily accessed from Melbourne by freeway (40 mins) and a unique luxurious alternative to local hotels.

Self-contained cottage

This large cottage was originally the home to Nevil Shute's daughters. It has a large open plan living, dining and kitchen, separate bedroom and unique bathroom with large tub spa and scrumptious Natio Spa bathroom products.

Views to gardens from all windows, yet also private, with all new fittings and appliances.

This is an ideal cottage for the couple who wish to self-cater, or we are happy to provide a breakfast basket and arrange transport to local restaurants.

Cosy in winter and bright and sunny in summer.

Bed and Breakfast cottage

Opening onto a large veranda with barbeque, this one bedroom cottage includes a living room and glamorous bathroom.

TV, refrigerator, tea, coffee, microwave and essential supplies will allow you to lock yourself away and enjoy breakfast at you leisure. Alternatively, enjoy the outdoors or head out to a winery for lunch.

The bedroom has one double bed, with futon double bed in living room to accommodate two more persons if desired.

Locality

Easy access via the Monash Freeway and only a 40 minute drive from the City. Alternatively travel by train to Frankston or Cranbourne with pickup and drop off available.

From Devon Park you are then only 20 minutes to surf beaches, wineries and golf courses.
