'Deloraine Holiday Retreat' -- is a stylishly furnished 1980's brick self-contained house in the quaint town of Deloraine with 180-degree views of the town and the spectacular Great Western Tiers Mountain Range as a backdrop. Sit in a comfy lounge chair or rest in bed while watching the play of shadow & light on the Mountains as the sun sets or the snow clouds blanket the higher peaks in winter. "An absolute magnificent view & experience"; praised a very happy guest. The Retreat backs onto paddocks where farm animals can be seen grazing contentedly.

The spacious four-bedroom house with full kitchen and dining room has a separate lounge, outdoor entertainment area, and laundry. Serviced daily.The gardens have magnificent roses, in season. And there is off street parking for up to 3 cars.

Shops & other services are within walking distance, as is the pretty Meander River that has children playgrounds and walks along its banks. Both children & adults like to look out for the platypuses, which can be spotted, as they forage for their food in the river at sunset.

Stayed at Deloraine Holiday Retreat run by Bowerbank Mill B & B. Can recommend this as first rate accommodation - attention to detail in providing for our needs. We were able to enjoy home-made treats and a very friendly service. Can definitely recommend this place - comprises 4 bedrooms and lovely furnishings; daily cleaning and a lovely outlook over the river. First Rate!!

Locality

The Meander Valley Region, where maginicant rugged Mountains and wilderness meet the farmland, is exceptionally beautiful. And Deloraine is the perfect place to use as a base in Northern Tasmania being only 30 minutes from both Devonport and Launceston (ferry & airports) and close to the Coast, Cradle Mountain, Wild Life Parks, Bush Walking, and Wineries on the Tamar. It is not far by road to the Platypus and Seahorse attractions at Beauty Point or a multitude of other wonderful attractions
