"What a stunning and magic place! It's the sort of home that you (or certainly I!) would like to call your own. Sitting on the comfy coach in front of the huge picture window (needless to say, with a glass of wine in hand) overlooking sheep paddocks in the foreground and the Eastern end of Kangaroo Island in the distance - it simply can't get much better. The house is very modern, yet fits beautifully into the landscape and has a totally environmentally-friendly design. The attention to little details is wonderful - those include lovely bed socks, chocolates and little origami birds that await you on your bed on arrival. It was perfect!!!
There are plenty of interesting hikes to do in the conservation park. We will most definitely visit the retreat again in the future and can only recommend it to everyone else!!!"

We were totally in awe of the ever changing views and sat for hours soaking up this visual delight.I describe it as a romantic getaway in a beautiful natural setting if you just want to get away from the city to relax and rest. "It is not often that expectations are exceeded when booking a place over the internet. Our expectations were exceeded with Deep Creek Retreat.
The huge picture window in the living area overlooks a birdbath in the garden (lots of native birds), which overlooks a large valley (lots of kangaroos) and then Backstairs Passage and Kangaroo Island are on the horizon.
The tree house and a 'secret garden" within the garden (not mentioned on the webpage) were also a pleasant surprise and fun diversion for our boys aged 5 and 7.
I would highly recommend Deep Creek Retreat to anyone (and have in fact done so to my friends).

"'Deep Creek Retreat' is the most perfect holiday house we have ever experienced. The house is made for comfort and harmony. The large, all round windows allow for fantastic views of the garden, hills and ocean. The owners are very caring, warm people who think of everything possible to make one feel at home. Incredible bushwalking trails and beaches make for an excellent holiday for young and old. Please don't all flock to this retreat, as we intend visiting it regularly for short stays!
