Our estate was established in 1986, developed by local craftsmen using native and recycled material to give the Centre a true bush style atmosphere. Set on a 20 acre open native bush estate, Deep Spring Estate is a 5 minute or 7 kilometer relaxed drive from Daylesford, heading towards Ballarat on the Midland Highway.

A LIGHTER CARBON FOOTPRINT.
Ever since arriving on this our own little piece of heaven, our Estate has always been very concerned about our own carbon footprint and what we can do about minimising it. Below is a list of activities, implemented or soon to be implemented at our Estate to lighten our carbon footprint. Hopefully there are some usefull tips in it for you as well.
*Recycle paper/carton/plastic bottles/alum cans/glass.
*Contribution to unrenewable waste is brought back to lower then 50%, total yearly
Output of non-recyclable waste is now approx 4cub meters, business & residential.
*Using Solar hot water to boost hot water for Hydro-Jacuzzi & Saltwater pool.
*Using regrown firewood for heating.
*Planted 1000's of native trees/scrubs/grasses. Constantly improving our local environment.
*Recycling greywater (all our washing machines/showers/handbassins) saving 85%. Collected & biologically filtered to be used by toilets & gardens.
*Using only low energy globes.
*Growing organic produce on property.
*R3.5 insulation in Ceiling & walls.
*Using only our own filtered rainwater.
*Where possible, purchase only single-wrapped products, saving on packaging waste.
*Where possible purchase local produce.
