Honeymoon in period rooms dated circa 1853 with open fires, clawfoot baths in seperate bathroom, verandah to relax on, outlook to English style gardens and by arrangement massage, chocolates, arrange breakfast to the room or in the consevatory, beverages and book a restaurant. Also a stoll across the road to a Sunday market, games and DVD's to make use of.

Boutique hotel, Bed & Breakfast, Guest house


The Manor has 8 bedrooms around a central area that has two cozy open fire places, verandahs to relax on with a rural outlook and a foyer for a conference or gathering. It has a gracious appeal.
The Homestead has 4 bedrooms. situated only metres away from the manor and is the original home of an American who built it circa 1853 and used it for accommodation. It has since been restored again for accommodation. Two rooms in the homestead have open fires and a view up a 100m garden, also has a lounge with open fire and a conservatory for dining or conferencing. Rooms very in size in both buildings and are classed as standard , deluxe or premier rooms. Group hire can be at a fixed price to acquire the use exclusively for that purpose. We have a 2 night minimum on weekends

We have kept guest books for comment over the 15 years of operation and can be read or added to by any visitor. Out of 30 thousand persons who have stayed there are no entries that suggest the stay was not worth while. As we have more to the property than can be expressed, customers get their monies worth.

Locality


The Accommodation Station is across the road from the Daylesford tourist railway station at 15 Raglan street, which is part of the Midland highway that run through the town centre. Daylesford is 60 min. South of Bendigo and 30 minutes South of Castlemaine. 75min North of Geelong via Ballan. 30 minutes North East from Ballarat via Creswick along the Midland Highway. From Melbourne it is North west and 80 minutes drive either along the Calder freeway via Woodend or the Western freeway via Ballan, before Ballarat.
AT the Accommodation Station it is only 5 minutes walk to restaurants hotels and shops. We are close to most places of interest.

Property


The accommodation Station is set on 3 acres and is unique that it can provide for a range of options for accommodation from traditional B&B, groups, self-contained when suitable, conferences, small weddings, hens nights, couples for a getaway, good access for the aged, off-street parking, BBQ, cafe style breakfast is available, rural setting and all the accommodation rooms are individual. We have ensuited rooms in the Manor and shared in the Homestead, with private options. Tea and coffee facilities are provided, central heating, Beds from double, queen, king, twinshare and single bed arrangements. The decor is a mix of old period to modern, with a dash of class. Cool in the Summer and cozy through the cold months. We have an in-house masseur and a spa that form s part of the package by the masseur. "Something different for a change".

The manor is suitable but not the homestead. The manor has an almost level gravel car park with access to enter the building that is level to the carpark and has no lips or steps. Bathrooms are standard with a bath and overhead shower. However for less limted persons there is a bath seat and a hand held shower available. There is a grab rail above the bath. Also there is a portable toilet chair with rails and the existing seat can be removed. Assitance to negotiate a small step to the dinning area is required.

Being set on the edge of a country town there are many varieties of parrots, particularly during the late Spring and early Summer months that come to enjoy the produce from a variety of trees and grasses, such as wallnut trees, flowering gums and the many grass seeds. Also seen from the property are eagles, hawkes, owles, finches at different months and many magpies etc at any time.

Close to Public Transport


Public transport within 5 minute walk, Public transport within 10 minute walk, Bus service.

Buses meet trains stopping at Woodend, Castlemaine, Ballarat and Ballan. And all take about 30 to 45 minute trip to Daylesford. Bus also leave Melbourne. Travelers can request to be dropped off outside the property only if the Bus has met the Woodend train. See Vline timetable.

Dinner, Bed and Breakfast


In-house evening meals available.

We mostly include a continental breakfast with an option, on the day, for an extra cooked breakfast. We can provide snacks meals for those who have limited ability to enjoy going to the large selection of nearby eateries. Group meals we can provide for and can be either lunch or diner and we prefer to provide two course buffet for a minimum of ten persons. BYO or we provided tea and coffee.

Premier rooms meet executive standard. Daily service fees are not included in the room rate but can be arranged. However a long term service is avaialble at no charge and is perfromed after 3 nights stay and towels can be changed sooner by request.

Pet friendly


Medium dogs (11 kg to less than 34 kg) are permitted.

The land is of 3 acres and dogs can be walked on a lead anywhere outside the buildings. Verandah surround the main accommodation area and dogs can be left outside the rooms on a bed supplied by the pet owner or kept in the car the pet arrived in as an overnight alternative. A pet being on the property providing the pet is not agressive or cause a nuisence to people or other animals or birds. There is a fenced area for a limited period a dog can be left. Pets owners are responsible for their pets regardless of the offer to allow pets onto the property. Warning; Council has put down a dog recently, after one visitor neglected the pet.

Wedding venue


Outdoor weddings catered, Group accommodation available, Church(es) nearby, Marquee weddings possible, Wedding venue only, catering to be arranged externally.

Venue can accommodate max 24 people; say the wedding party staying and other guests can be present for outdoor events and meals. Facilities can be provided for the extra guests and alternate parking can also be arranged. Taxi service is good, however most accommodation is within walking distance.

Stay for 2 nights for two people at a discount rate of 5% and except public holidays providing this deal is mentioned at the time of booking. Any one night stay is not discounted. The price for a one night stay in a deluxe room including a continetnal breakfast for two is $168 as a package at off- peak periods. A gift vouchure cannot be cancelled, is subject to availability, needs to be booked within 6 months and not to be used during public holiday with public holiday weekends, Public holiday booking are for a 3 night stay. Group bookings on weekends in the manor must be a minimum 2 nights package and breakfast is an optional extra.
