This property captures a rustic Japanese aura. The long low building sits like a floating platform amidst the naturalistic landscaped garden. The structure's weathered, timber walls blend with the surrounds. The main expanse of the building, with floor to ceiling glass walls on either side, has the open quality of a breezeway. This is the living space, barely separated from the babbling creek setting and the Japanese Style Sculpted garden. Silver birches, hydrangeas and iris are just a few of the feature plantings. Beyond the creek, cows and sheep graze on Mohawk Hill. The cottage interior also has a naturally simple style. Smooth white wall and ceiling surfaces compliment elements of wood. Carpet provides a quiet, soft texture underfoot. The focal point of the lounge area is a genuine, cast iron wood burner. Around the freestanding fire are big comfortable couches which enable you to relax and enjoy the garden vistas. An oversized garden chair is a treasured spot for relaxing with a book, accompanied by foraging birds. Even form inside the cottage, by the warmth of the wood fire with a favourite CD playing, the garden still envelops you with its tranquil moods.
Enjoy a body massage in Daylesford, but experience a massage of the soul at Musk Creek Hollow.
Musk Creek Hollow is also a pet friendly property. Responsible pet owners are welcome to enjoy a relaxing break with thier precious pet. We have a fully fenced, enclosed internal garden. The floor-to-ceiling windows which look into this garden enable you to keep an eye on your pet whilst enabling them to keep you within eyesight. There is also a large rambling garden and creek to wander around with your pet but this area is not fenced. Of course your pets are welcome inside the house too but please be mindful of furniture and muddy paws. A good wipe down before entering will ensure carpets are protected. If little accidents do occur inside the house then carpet cleaning costs will be added to the tariff. We hope you and your pet have a relaxing time.

Locality

Musk Creek Hollow is a short drive from the town of Daylesford which is the spa capital of Victoria. A visit to one of the spa centres in the region can rejuvenate and revitalise even the most weary of souls.
The region is also renowned for its food and wine culture. Take a journey through lush landscapes to experience Daylesford cool climate wines, seasonal produce direct from the farm gate and gourmet cafes. Restaurants and cafes use local produce and wines from the area and the list of restaurants included in the Age 'Good Food Guide' is many and varied.

Property

The spacious bedroom has a queen size bed that faces a large picture window into a private coutyard garden. Television and DVDs(selection provided) can be watched from bed, propped up by feather and down pillows. Beautiful Egyptian cotton linen and soft fluffy towels add further luxury. There is also a walk in robe and the bathroom is conveniently next to the bedroom.
In addition to the wood fire the living area also has an electric wall heater. The CD player is wired to ceiling speakers to incorporate music into the environment whenever you wish. Beyond the dining area is a full kitchen equipped with a cooktop and oven, medium size fridge and microwave oven.
The kitchen is stocked with a range of breakfast provisions, as well as plunger coffee and teas.

Musk Creek Hollow is a pet friendly property for responsible pet owners. All types of pets are welcome at Musk Creek Hollow- of course dogs are the most popular guests but cats are welcome ( provided the necessary scatchy poles etc are brought with you) and even a couple of rabbits. There is a fully fenced, secured garden area for your dogs and of course your pets are welcome inside the cottage under your supervision. water bowls are provided. The enclosed garden area is approximately 20 metres in length by 5 metres in width. We do request that you clean up after your dogs. This garden area is viewed through floor to ceiling windows ensuring that you and you pets are always with in sight of each other. So why not enjoy a country escape with your pampered pet. The entire family are welcome at Musk Creek Hollow.
