Situated at the end of a lovely winding valley trail, this beautiful 30 acre property offers a quiet hideaway. Colourful tropical gardens attract a host of tropical birds (over 120 species have been identified) and a myriad butterflies. Walking tracks wander in and out of rainforest and there are dozens of tropical fruit trees (guests are welcome to pick their own).
Each of the three self-contained, air-conditioned bungalows is very privately situated with a pleasant view over the wetlands-dam and rainforested valley hillsides. The dam is home to turtles and, very occasionally, platypus. Bandicoots and pretty little Swamp Wallabies are frequent visitors.
There is no passing traffic, no television or telephones to disturb your peace and quiet. Children under 12 are not catered for.
The bungalows have a queen-size bed, convertible sofa for one extra adult, microwave, cooktop, fridge, also air-conditioner and ceiling fan. They are fully insect-screened. There is a small CD player and selection of soft music CDs for your enjoyment and relaxation.
Guests receive a complimentary daily breakfast basket of tropical fruits (home-grown in season), juice, cereals, home-made preserves and locally-grown coffee and tea. Honeymooners receive a complimentary bottle of sparkling Australian wine.
There is a barbeque area and heated jacuzzi spa. Barbeque packs and also pasta meals are available for guests to prepare themselves.
Easy walking tracks take you through rainforest and open grassland to quiet glades - rest on a parkbench and absorb the peace and quiet and pure clean air. Water is from a crystal rainforest stream - soft and delicious. Wonderful star-gazing on clear nights!
Guests are offered peace and privacy in a secluded tropical retreat but resident hosts, Peter and Daphne, are always available and happy to help with information on all local activities and will make bookings for you if required.
