Daintree Valley Haven is a tropical retreat with 3 air-conditioned self-contained cabins on a lovely secluded 30 acre property in the Daintree River valley, surrounded by Daintree National Park.

It's the perfect hideaway accommodation for couples, birdwatchers, honeymooners and nature-lovers or for relaxing for a while during a busy holiday schedule.

Total peace and tranquility yet within easy driving distance of Cape Tribulation, Mossman Gorge, Port Douglas and the Great Barrier Reef.

8 km beyond Daintree Village, at the end of a scenic valley trail lies this peaceful haven, alive with birds and butterflies and filled with tropical gardens, rainforest, tropical fruit trees and easy walking tracks. You may spot a wallaby or a bandicoot and if you are really lucky perhaps a shy platypus.

Each cabin is in a private spot with a verandah overlooking a fresh-water lagoon and rainforest and has either a Queen-size or King/Twin bed plus convertible sofa for one extra adult, ensuite with large shower, kitchenette with fridge, microwave, electric cooktop, coffee plunger and all cooking utensils.

No passing traffic, TVs or radios - and your mobile phone will only work in Daintree Village, 8km away. (But if you need to keep in touch free wireless internet access is available.) Otherwise all you will hear is birdsong and the sounds of the rainforest.

A daily breakfast basket is supplied and includes a platter of home-grown tropical fruits, home-made jam and yoghurt and locally-grown freshly-ground coffee and Daintree tea. Breakfast on your private verandah and enjoy our beautiful tropical birdlife.

For other meals bring your own supplies and dine 'at home' in your cabin or on the barbeque in the historic old open shed - perhaps have a dip in the jacuzzi while your barbeque cooks! Self-cook meals, wine, beer and soft-drinks are also available. There are several restaurants in nearby Daintree Village.
