The layout of the house is fantastic for a family holiday - we had two blended families, ages 3 to 79 (including a teen) and everyone was happy. "What can I say other than to give "Summer Place" 5 stars. From the information freely given at time of booking to the welcoming champers and choccies on arrival, our stay was perfect. "Summer Place" had a secure and large backyard which was great for our dog and the beautiful dog friendly beach was just 1 minute walk away. The house itself was airy and clean with quality inclusions, the linen was pristine and fresh and the kitchen superb and well equipped. The gas log fire not only kept us warm but also added a touch of romance. All of this and more contributed to a wonderful stay. "Summer Place" was fantastic, even in winter! "

"Summer Place certainly exceeded our expecations. The linen and towels were of excellent quality and the kitchen was well equipped.The backyard was a real suprise and we loved being able to walk out the back gate and literally able to walk down the to beach. It was well fenced for our two Dalmatians who loved going down to the beach - which is off leash all day. The house in general has a great feel and felt extremely comfortable. The gas heater worked a treat and the TV/DVD set up was great also.....definately will be back."

"Excellent beachside house with no stairs. Very clean & well equipped. Lovely gardens which wrap around the house, so there's a spot to sit in all weathers. Wasn't expecting an ocean view from the kitchen window. Also wasn't expecting chocs & bubbly on arrival!"

"The owner Bruce was so very nice, helpful and accommodating in every way. Even down to fishing tips and best local spots to try our luck. The bubbly and chocolates were a great touch on arrival. The cottage itself was very clean and beautifully presented on all levels including quality kitchen utensils, crockery, pans etc, bedding and linen first rate,and supplying shampoo and conditioner, tissues, scottowels and many other extras, was a great courtesy and very helpful. Mind you if I knew this previously it would have saved me some extra packing! We spend more time outside than in, so really appreciated the lovely gardens,covered seating areas and soothing water feature. They were very congusive to relaxing. One last point-the ease with which to access the beach was fantastic. We were out in our boat all day but because it was so easy to walk to the beach we rigged up our surf rods and went down to fish the evening tide. Within 15 minutes I had pulled in a 2-3kg Salmon and my husband, two more after me. It was the highlight of our stay!"

You are a hop, skip and a jump to the beach. It is wonderful to hear the waves from the house.

We loved it, but a weekend is just not long enough, so we hope to return for a longer stay

"We had a wonderful holiday at summer place, Our daughter was just out of hospital and summer place was just perfect to help her with her recovery. Summer place had a lovely warm and friendly feel about it and it was so relaxing to just sit in any of the lovely open rooms or outside in their well cared for garden lisening to the bird life and the sounds of the waves from the beach which was just a short stroll, summer place was very well equipped it had everything we could of possabily asked for, It was pet friendly and our little dog enjoyed the holiday as much as us. We were all very sad when we had to pack up and go home, But we hope to return next year, "

"Great location, 2 minute walk to beach was perfect. Nice, quiet street location within walking distance from shops. House was extremely roomy and very clean, plenty of inclusions, particularly in the kitchen. Plenty of sliding doors and windows providing a nice breeze during what were some very hot days. Nice backyard with plenty of room. Overall the house had a wonderful warm feeling to it, perfect for large families. Overall, excellent value for money."
