"Great venue for our family get-together. The large indoor and outdoor table/chair settings seated us all together in comfort. The enormous back-yard with fences and gates was fully secure for our 4 dogs who had a ball. The home was very clean and well-equipped and had everything we needed. The water view was lovely, and the bird-feeder a real delight.

"Great location, plenty of room for 4 kids, great facilities, and very clean. Our 2 dogs loved the big back yard, and the kids even tried a bit of fishing. "I could not fault this accomodation - everything had been thought of - reading material, firewood, brochures about the district, everything you would possibly need; it was the best equipped holiday house I have ever stayed in. We were grateful to be allowed to bring our dogs, and even they were catered for! Especially helpful were the clear instructions for using various things inclucing the Austar TV and the fire.
I liked all the nautical objects, and even to the old wooden sign pointing us to the direction of the beach!
The final delight was sitting on the charming back verandah,in the morning and the evening, looking across the water and having the birds, so many varieties, be nearby and occasionally come in to feed.

"We were delighted with our stay in Anchors Away. Our only regret is that we did not plan a longer stay. The website doesn't do the place justice, especially the internal space/equipment/inventory and the rear boundary backing onto Curlys Lake. We have stayed in various places in the area and Anchors Away is a clear winner. The bottle of champagne in the fridge and doggy treats on arrival were very nice touches. We will definately be back when we next visit Australia.

Very reasonable rates considering the size and quality of the house and its contents. We only booked 3 nights initially but we were given the opportunity to stay for an extra night for free at the start or end of our stay (at our choice) which we obviously accepted and very glad we did.

We hope to be back in a couple more years time and hope it is still available then but in the mean time we have been singing our praises to all and sundry.
