Cradle Mountain, Tasmania
Kentisbury Country House is a special occasion luxury retreat, sitting tranquilly amidst the Tasmanian countryside. Ideally situated to explore Cradle Mountain & Lake St. Clair National Park, Mole Creek caves, Sheffield "Town of Murals", Lake Barrington.
"This was the best place we stayed during our touring holiday in Tasmania. The house is so comfortable and the atmosphere so relaxing that we didn't feel like going out to do our planned tourist activites. We loved the extra little touches, eg being able to use fruit and vegetables from the garden, and the provision of jams and chocolates, as well as the basic pantry needs.
The surrounding countryside is just beautiful. We hope to return. "

"We didn't want to leave the house ... it is amazing - warm, comfortable and all together just gorgeous. We had touristy trips booked otherwise I think we would have walked in the door at 8 o'clock Friday night and not left the house till Sunday morning. Congratulations to Melissa for a wonderful meet and greet as well. We will definately return."

"The property is amazing. The decor and outlook transports you away to the Mediterranean. Accessing the property's garden for fresh vegetables and fruit was a real bonus we had not expected. The blackberry crepes we made for breakfast were a treat"

"I have been in the travel industry for a very long time and stayed all over the world and Kentisbury cottage has left nothing to be desired behind. Melissa and Peter are gorgeous managers without being invasive and offered everything and anything to make our stay more comfortable. There is a "Wow" factor with Kentisbury cottage and i felt relaxed from the moment i got there. We can't wait to return. Thanks Melissa and Peter"

"Excellent ambience. The house was nice, warm and cozy. We did not feel like leaving the house at all. We left only because we had to not because we wanted to
Melissa was such a wonderful lady and ensured that we were comfortable. The garden with tomatoes, apples, berries is too good to miss. Plucking the apple and eating it fresh is so different from buying it from a supermarket, refrigerating and eating it later :)))
Basil was a cute friendly dog. We wished we could only take him along with us. So was barley, the sheep and the cows
If you are going to Launceston or Devonport and wanting to stay in a peaceful place with wonderful people... this is the place to stay..
Oh!! I forgot... the views from the house and the Lake Barrington that is a few minutes walk from the house.... Heavenly is probably the best word to describe them"
