Imagine relaxing, deep in the heart of a Tasmanian ferned forest breathing crisp, fresh air, drinking pure clean water and marvelling at Nature's beauty.

CASA VERDE ALPINE RETREAT is a fully self-contained stylish, well appointed, contemporary and spacious alpine villa complete with lofty verandah for you to simply relax and unwind. Situated in 4.5 acres of private ferned forest and amongst native forest, you'll feel time and stress just slip away.

Able to accommodate 2-6 people, CASA VERDE is fully self-contained so you can cook your own meals in our 'chef's delight' kitchen or book for evening into the restaurant across the road.

A cosy logfire heater will keep you warm on those cooler nights and will amply heat the whole villa. You can relax watching one of our dvd's or simply unwind and listen to your own music on our complete entertainment system.

Our wide, lofty outdoor deck is just the place to watch the wildlife, catch up on some reading or just unwind with a glass of cool wine and a good book.

The stylish cedar lined bathroom is complete with bath/shower and toilet.

We also provide full laundry amenities.

Whilst we are self contained accommodation we do offer a Continental breakfast optional extra at $10pp.

Thanks for a wonderful accommodation, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. It was especially nice to be able to stay in an 'environmentally sensitive house'.
Loved the Asian influence in the bedroom.Enjoyed seeing the local animals and birds.Will happily recommend and hope to return.

Locality

CASA VERDE ALPINE RETREAT is situated at Moina, at the Gateway to Cradle, just 20 min away. The splendid Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park has many short and long bushwalking trails incl. the famous Overland Track. The Walls of Jerusulem and Mole Creek caves are also within easy reach.

If it's the rugged West Coast incl. the fishing village of Strachan, you're just 1.5 hours drive through the spectacular Tasmanian Wilderness Area. And the North West coastal towns and beaches are under 1 hour's scenic drive away. You can also go via Sheffield - Town of Murals which is only 30 minutes down the mountain.

Spoil yourself with some of Tassie's famous local fare eg. wines, cheese, chocolate, honey, berries, salmon and trout - all within an hour.

Or visit some of the other local attractions, incl. Wilmot Hills Winery, Tazmazia.

If it's Nature you're looking for, we're just the place as you'll be surrounded with forest and its abundant bird and wildlife, you won't even have to leave the property!

We're also just 2km from Lake Gairdner if you're wanting some waterplay.

CASA VERDE is centrally located for you no matter what your itinery for this area.

Rooms and rates

We mostly require a minimum stay of 2 nights. Rates quoted are on a per couple basis: $160 per night midweek, $170 per night w/end, $980 per week.

Peak season ie. public and school holidays in January, rates are $225 per night and $1350 per week (from 15/12/ to 31/1/).

Single nights (should they be available) will incur a $50 surcharge.

There is also a 2% surcharge for credit card payments.
