The charming, close-knit community of Temora is a small town with the reputation of being 'The Friendliest Town in New South Wales'. Temora has a number of outstanding parks available for you to rest and relax in, while taking a break on your travels. Most parks are equipped with free gas barbecues and are well placed in shady areas of the parks. Lake Centenary, a man-made lake, is a short five minute drive from Temora and offers the same excellent facilities as the parks and gardens within the town and district.
Attractions worth visiting while in Temora are the award winning Temora Rural Museum, Temora Aviation Museum, with its superb collection of war planes which actually fly once a month, the Temora Recreation Centre with its two court international basketball stadium, and the recently renovated pool complex.
