Cottage

Coningham Cottage is ideal for a peaceful break and central to Hobart and the Huon region. Fully self contained, this two bedroomed cottage (two queen sized beds plus a day/nighter lounge) also offers a large lounge/dining area and a brand new sun room, leading out onto the deck. This offers uninterrupted views north over NW Bay, and is set up with a BBQ, 6 person outdoor setting and the tinkle of the water feature in the fishpond!

An established native garden greets you upon your arrival. Complimentary tea and coffee is provided and basic breakfast supplies for the first morning will be made available on request. A TV with DVD player, and an AM/FM radio/CD/ tape player are also provided. A selection of books is available and visitors are encouraged to swap any they have with one from the small collection in the cottage.

The kitchen is equipped with a gas cooktop, electric oven, microwave, toaster, electric jug, settings for six and a range of kitchen extras. A gas heater in the kitchen can take the "sting" out of early mornings, while a very efficient wood burner stove heats the lounge and front bedroom through a ducting system. An overhead fan in the lounge keeps it cool on the hot summer days that have you looking for an oasis.

Local features such as Coningham Beach, Snug Falls, Kettering Marina and Hotel (great meals) are short drives away, whilst the Huon Valley, Peppermint Bay, Bruny Island, the Tahune Airwalk, Dover, Kingston and Hobart, amongst others, provide a range of destinations to explore. Local restaurants in Snug, Margate and Woodbridge cover a wide range of choices and tastes for your selection.

There's lots to see and do in the area and Coningham Cottage provides a delightful base and a pleasure to "come home to" after a day exploring this lovely corner of Tasmania.

Great week - chance to relax in this wonderful cottage and also see the extraordinary sights that south Tas has to offer. Highlight was the Bruny Island Cruises ("the yellow boats") as the sights on this tour were amazing! Cottage and the hospitality of the owner left nothing wanting. A joy to be here. C and J. Vic.
