Tatura Retreat is a 4 Star air conditioned holiday home comprising 3 bedrooms - 1xking, 1xtwin singles, 1xsingle. Large, open plan living area, family size kitchen with all appointments, family fridge, dishwasher, microwave, etc. Quality furnishings and appointments. Huge covered entertainment area which is great for everyone, especially the kids. It does not matter if it is raining, there's plenty of room for everyone. Laundry with washing machine, tubs, iron etc. Your own garage and your own bbq area with separate setting.

The view from the covered entertainment area is spectacular - overlooking the waterlily filled billabong and the tropical gardens. Kangaroos and wallabies roam on the lawns and our majestic pet peacocks add that touch of class.

Locality

Coffs Harbour has the perfect climate right throughout the year. It is half-way between Sydney and Brisbane, with daily flights to/ from Sydney and weekly flights to/from Melbourne. Tatura is situated on one of the northern beach suburbs, right in the middle of the most beautiful beaches. The CBD, all the tourist attractions, shops, restaurants and cafes are minutes away yet at Tatura you would never guess they were anywhere nearby.

Coffs has 'The Lot' - There's something for everyone - beaches, spectacular scenery, marine life, birdwatching, rainforests, 4WD, wineries, fishing, golfing, and more.

Accessible

Suitable only for persons with limited mobility but not wheelchair users, Step or lip exists to the entry door, Chairs are permitted in the shower, Some stairs, described below, Toilet is big enough to fit a wheelchair.

The property has its own garage from which there is just one step into the house. Access to the grounds for wheelchair bound persons is via the garage, however, the lawns are extensive and unless the wheelchair was motorised, someone would be required to push the wheelchair over the lawns. Access to the BBQ area is via the garage and around the side gardens. There is a second toilet in the laundry and there is plenty of space there. The shower is very big.

Coffs Harbour is blessed with many professional and amature artisans, whose work includes pewter, wildlife jewellery, pottery, painting, woodwork, fine ceramics, glassware, to name a few. 'Discover Coffs Coast' provides information on where these are located as well as the dates of the many local markets where many people sell their work.

Tatura Retreat has its own rainforest where guests are able to explore and enjoy seeing the bird life as well as the vegetation. Tatura adjoins Wedding Bells State Forest which is a protected area. Some of the bird life include - eagles, frog-faced owls, parrots, quails, honeyeaters, kookaburras, to name a few. Guests are able to view the large variety of bird life without fear of being disturbed as the property is extremely private.

Bushwalking & wilderness

Tatura Retreat has its own rainforest included in the property and it adjoins Wedding Bells State Forest. You can roam around yet be close to Tatura, you do not have to go to any rainforest - it's right on your doorstop.

Tatura Retreat is ideal for corporate personnel who wish to escape from the madding crowds after a hectic day. They find Tatura a haven for peace and quiet yet within minutes to every convenience they require - restaurants, CBD, shops, etc. Many executives who stay at Tatura have their families stay with them on the weekend - there's loads of room.

Tatura Retreat is a haven for families. There is loads of room; the kids can make as much noise as they like; if it is raining the covered entertainment area is perfect for them. Many of the children who stay love running around the orchard and over the lawns. They adore seeing the kangaroos, wallabies, peacocks, donkeys, eagles, ducks, geese,quails and our very friendly chooks.

Farmland Experiences

Kangaroos and Wallabies roam over the lawns and we have our own pet peacocks, chickens and wild ducks which swim on our billabong. There is a very large variety of bird life. Our neighbours have horses, cows, geese, donkeys.

Coffs Harbour's northern beaches are some of the best galleries. These are detailed in 'Discover Coffs Coast', a copy of which is available for all guests. All are located close to Tatura. Other galleries are to be found in the CBD, the Botanic Garden, the Bunker Museum, Jeffery Baker Art, to name a few.

Tatura Retreat is situated on a private 15 acre property. It is accessed by a private road and surrounded by tropical gardens, an orchard and the most beautiful waterlily filled lagoon where ducks and bird life swim and romp. Tatura is a large open-plan home with a large covered entertainment area as well as an outdoor BBQ area with separate setting. It is quiet and peaceful. The view is spectacular.
