We have a cubby house, sandpit, trampoline & swings available for children to use. Portacots are provided free of charge. We also have a swimming pool & tennis court as well as plenty of green grass for children to run around on and play games.

Cottage, Bed & Breakfast, Self-contained apartment

Tokemata Retreat is nestled on 50 acres beside the famous redgum forests of the Murray River. Guests can enjoy boutique accommodation coupled with relaxation in the peace and tranquillity of the beautiful gardens.

Choose from 1, 2 or 3 bedroom cottages, each offering their own individual decor and full of all the "little touches". Hearty breakfast provisions are provided. At Tokemata Retreat, much thought has gone into the design of the cottages to allow for the guests' maximum comfort, whether couples, singles or families.

For something special, we can arrange for dinner to be cooked in your own cottage or for a muscular therapist to come and give you a massage (minimum 4 persons).

In our region you will be able to discover the delights of several wineries; have some fun on Lake Mulwala with water sports; use the plentiful tracks for walking or biking beside the Murray River and sample some of the local produce such as olive oil, fresh fruits, cheeses, almonds, honey and much more.

Locality

Tokemata Retreat is situated 7 km east of Cobram, off the Murray Valley Highway, with the 50 acre property bordering the bush and the Murray River. We are a 3 hour drive from Melbourne, 5 hours from Canberra and about 8 hours drive from Sydney and Adelaide.
Our region offers plenty of sporting activities, with some of the best golf on the famous Murray courses. Closest to Tokemata Retreat are Cobram Barooga, Yarrawonga and Tocumwal.

Water sports abound with water skiing on the Murray River or boom netting or sailing on nearby Lake Mulwala.
There are several wineries to explore and you will find that this is a great area for produce, with fantastic fruits in the summer months as well as nuts, honey, olive oil and cheeses all being produced locally.

Property

For those looking for an active getaway, Tokemata has plenty to offer: a full-sized golf driving range, complete with green and two bunkers; a tennis court and solar heated saltwater pool are also part of the facilities. The kids will be kept occupied with the cubby, sandpit, swings & trampoline.

At our back fence is an anabranch of the Murray River (Dick's creek). Most of the time, this has plenty of water in it and would be suitable for Canoeing and Kayaking. The actual Murray River is about 500m away.
