Cottage

Unwind from your busy life in this country style cottage. Take a stroll around the scenic walking trails or just sit and relax on the front verandha or by the open fire with a nice glass of wine. Throw a line in off the jetty and watch the sunset. Take a drive to the local wineries and fine produce stores and then settle in to a fine feast which you can cook up in the well appointed kitchen or outside on the BBQ. Take a drive around the southern beach towns and then escape the crowds in a quieter location and on those cold winter nights cuddle up in front of a lovely open fire. A new TV and DVD player are availble in the lounge for your entertainment. Your welcome to bring the family pet who will enjoy the large fenced yard.
The Cafe has reopened and is only a short stroll away.

Locality

This quiet little town is surrounded by the lower waters of the murray river. The walking trails have views to the Coorong and Goolwa. It is a beautiful area for canoeing/kayaking, windsurfing and kiting. The boat ramp provides access to the river for skiing or sailing and there is a quality jetty for mooring boats or for fishing activities.
A short drive will take you to the Currency Creek or Langhorne Creek wine areas or to Goolwa and Middleton. There is a local produce trail which runs through this area to Mount Compass and many antique shops in Strathalbyn which is also close by.

Property

The property has an open fireplace and firewood is supplied.
There are two bedrooms. The main has a queensize bed and the large second bedroom has a double bed at one end and a fold out sofa at the other.
There are 2 fold out beds available for children if they don't wish to share a double bed.
The yard is well fenced with plenty of room for kids and pets to run and play or to store a boat off of the street.

Dogs and cats are welcome. Cats would have to be kept inside and you would need to bring their own litter trays and food provisions. Dogs are allowed inside if they are house trained only and must be supervised at all times. The yard has small areas under the fence where a small dog may escape and is only about one metre high. If your dog is a jumper the fences may not stop him/her from getting out. There are water bowls outside but no food bowls are supplied. The yard is large allowing pets plenty of room to run.
