Enjoy the park facilities including our sparkling, cool salt water pool, jumping pillow for the kids (& young at heart!)the huge camp kitchen with fire pit beside (great for a relaxing evening chat), numerous BBQ areas, bird aviary and landscaped grounds. Then head back to your well appointed, fully self contained cabin for a quiet sleep or to watch television (enjoy movies, documentaries and sport with AUSTAR) or maybe, just relax on the verandah and enjoy the atmosphere. Wireless internet is available throughout the park for your convenience, also a 24 hour accessible internet kiosk. Laundry is available on site. Golf clubs, buggys and electric carts are here to hire for you to have a game on the neighbouring Golf Course.

Locality

Charters Towers is 130 kilometres south west of Townsville. Dalrymple Tourist Van Park is next to the Golf Course and only 2 kilometres from the Visitor Information Centre and City centre. Restaurants are close by. Enjoy the wonderful historic sights of Charters Towers and relive the bygone gold rush days.

Property

We wish to invite you to stay at our park in Charters Towers, the Dalrymple Tourist Van Park. You’ll find us on the northern entrance to town, on the Lynd Highway and yet only 1.8 kilometres north of the Information Centre and city centre. As you may have to pass other caravan parks to get to us, we will go the extra mile for you and ensure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable.
We have all of the features you have a right to expect- spotlessly clean amenities, ensuited fully self contained cabins, grass and slab powered sites, large camping area, sparkling saltwater pool with wading pool, jumping pillow, covered camp kitchen with fridge, stove, oven & microwave, BBQs, dump point, kiosk and plenty of room for large rigs.
For you to keep in touch or let your friends know about your holiday, we have wireless broadband access throughout the park and a 24 hour accessible internet kiosk in the camp kitchen. We also offer post, fax and photocopying facilities. There is a public phone on site and mobile reception is available.
Even after we’ve got all that right, we want to do more so we organise social events throughout the winter season, including Devonshire teas and evening campfires where you can sit around and yarn to your heart’s content. Watch the birds in our aviary and if you’re a pet owner, we welcome your pet on powered or camp sites or outside the deluxe cabins (as long as you’re all well behaved, of course).
Charters Towers Golf Course is right next door and we hire golf equipment- including golf carts, clubs & buggies. When you want to get out and about, we can give you information for all of the local attractions to see in Charters Towers.
