We are situated right next to the Historic Botanic Gardens and walking distance to Kaweka Native Flora Reserve and Kalimna Sanctuary. The Castlemaine Diggings National Heritage Park is part of the Goldfields Track that runs between Bendigo and Ballarat on the Great Dividing Trail. Shared by bushwalkers and mountain bikes, the Goldfields Track cuts a 210km path through the heart of Victorias Historic Goldfileds. There are also a number of walks through reserves and heritage sites in and around town along with the magnificent views and natural forest setting of Mt Alexander Regional Park situated outside of Harcourt.

The Botanic Gardens abutting our property provide a wonderful area for children to enjoy including a large playground, ornamenal lake, resident ducks and abundant wildlife. The gravel path around the gardens is suitable for them to ride their bikes and there is also another large grassed area adjacent to the park for kicking the football, soccer, cricket or whatever. In the summer months the large outdoor town pool at the entrance to the park is open providing a very convenient way for the whole family to cool off!
