Cottage, Bed & Breakfast, Farm stays

The Cottage is over 125 years old, steeped in character. The surrounding gardens are delightful with many peaceful places to enjoy the stunning rural and river views. Fully equipped for your comfort, the Cottage also has a private bbq area. Generous breakfast provisions are provided on the first night of your stay, including home baked bread, jams and cookies. A log fire adds cosy warmth on those cool Tassie evenings, and shady trees and rose walks, garden ponds, and friendly animals add to the country charm. Your hosts Anne and Peter are very happy to help with any information about the many attractions in the beautiful Huon Valley.

Locality

Castle Forbes Bay is in the heart of the Huon Valley, with easy access to all Huon Trail attractions, including the exciting Tahune Air Walk, the wonderful Hartz Mountains, and the ancient Hastings Caves. The Jet Boats, wineries,Wooden Boat School, restaurants and arts and crafts are all close by. Pristine beaches and glorious scenery, there is something for everyone.

Property

The Cottage is one kilometre from the main road. It is 15 minutes south of Huonville, 6 minutes past the delightful township of Franklin. Crowthers Road is the second street on your right as you enter the 80km speed zone in Castle Forbes Bay. Camellia Cottage Bed and Breakfast is signposted at the intersection of Crowthers road and the Huon Highway. Follow Crowthers Road staying to the right when the road forks, the road ends at our gate.
