"Casita Alegre surpassed our high expectations
on every level. This fabulous property, located at the end of a quiet no-through Close, is a Pt.Elliot icon. More than a touch of Mexico, with peace and tranquility reigning supreme. Casita Alegre is more spacious, more luxurious and beautifully appointed than we could have imagined. Perched on a clifftop, the mesmerizing up-close sea views from picture windows right across the living and kitchen areas are to die for! Hosts Glenda and Kingsley are warmly welcomming, friendly and live unobtrusively on the top floor. The property is absolutely pristine inside and out. With seaside walkways, Pt.Elliot and Middleton just down the road and Victor Harbor a few minutes drive away, what more could anyone want? We will definitely be returning in whale watching season, and recommending Casita Alegre to all our friends! (Yes, I am raving on - but I make no apologies ... Casita Alegre is gorgeous!)"

"The view from the beautiful clean windows, watching the crashing waves and the surfers was fantastic. Sitting in the Hot Tub listing to the surf with a glass of bubbly was wonderful. The full moon rising over the ocean was spectacular. House was clean tidy, the best linen and big fluffy towels, plus champaign supplied. Owners were great and met all our needs.

"Top quality accommodation situated on small cliff just above sandy surf beach. Awesome views from lounge, kitchen and dining area, though unfortunatly views from bedrooms have been partially blocked by new building next dodor.

Superbly equipped right down to binoculars and huge television, with quality tableware and comfortable furnishings all in immaculate order. Huge living area decorated in warm mexican style colours while large bedrooms have pale decor and quality linen. Everywhere there is attention to detail and lovely extras like scented soaps and seashells to add to the experience. Perfectly clean throughout.

Location is excellent with coastal path just outside the property leading round headland to the calmer waters of Horseshoe Bay. Grocery shops, bakery, hotel serving good food, plus beachside fish and chip restaurant all within walking distance. 10 minutes drive to Victor Harbour and to Goolwa.

Friendly owners live in adjoining property, and the whole area is beautifully maintained yet when looking out from inside it feels like you are the only house on the beach. The waves on the beach were huge and the wind was wild, so we did not swim and I would not recommend the place for small children, but for anyone seeking high quality accommodation with awesome sea views this place is magnificent.

"The Casita Allegra at Knighs beach was a fantastic experience from arriving, to the unfortunately inevitable departure.
The property is kept in an extremely good state of repair, and is stocked with everything you could need (including a complimentary bottle of wine!).
The view alone makes this property worth every cent (althothough , waking to the sound of the surf only adds to this), and if split six ways, this is an extremely good value base for people of every budget.
Glenda and her husband were extremely pleasant upon arrival, showing us around and making sure that we had everything we needed to make the stay a pleasant one.
The only negative point was the short duration (only 2 nights)next time we would hope to stay longer.

"We were a group of five adults and had an amazing weekend away. The accommodation was excellent and spotless (which isn't always the case in some places) and the owners were very friendly and helpful. We have nothing but great things to report back especially the brilliant views from the lounge and kitchen/diner. I would recommend anyone to go whether it is just for a few nights or a few weeks away."
