The Homestead is a great place for groups to relax together to celebrate a special occasion or just to holiday.
The Spa Room with heated spa pool adds an extra indulgence for groups.

This beautiful country homestead offers spacious lounge, grand dining room, five bedrooms, two bathrooms, one powder room/laundry, and a great country kitchen.

Roaring wood fires in winter make for a wonderful home away from home for up to 14 guests.

In the Homestead Garden is Creek Cottage which accommodates one, two or three more guests.

Also, Blue Wren Cottage, with two to three bedrooms, accommodates up to five guests.

Lochinver accommodates larger groups up to 20 in the Homestead and Cottages, when booked together, or they can also be booked separately.

Enjoy the simple pleasures of this traditional historic farming property along the creek at Carisbrook.

Locality

A week at Lochinver….

Enjoy a wander along the river every day. Watch cattle and sheep graze, view heritage farm buildings, landcare and indigenous cultural sites.

On your first day, visit the huge and elegant Maryborough Railway Station with café and antiques then explore High Street.

Set off to Tuki, a trout farm, and catch your own lunch. Nearby is Kyirong, a traditional farm with emus.
And visit Plaistow, the first Homestead in Central Victoria, and enjoy the collection of heritage poultry and the angora goats.

Drive to Maldon, through the open countryside where the film, 'Romulus My Father', was made. From Maldon take a steam train ride to Castlemaine and enjoy the breathtaking views from the lookout tower on Mt Tarrangower.

Learn about the Mount Alexander Goldfields at the Old Castlemaine Market. Enjoy the fruit and wine of the Harcourt Valley.

Head south to Talbot, farmers market and view the heavens at the Observatory.

Explore the beautiful landscapes of the Pyrenees wine region, have lunch at the famous Pie Shop, coffee at the Olive and Lavender Shop in Avoca.

On to exploring Bendigo, ride on the talking tram, go underground in the Central Deborah Discovery, a technology centre, lunch at the Café at the Bendigo Art Gallery. Check out the Chinese Dragons and more.

Visit Ballarat, travel back to the early goldfields days at Sovereign Hill, the Eureka Museum, the Botanic Gardens at Lake Wendouree, especially the POW Memorial..

… and the Spa Country at Daylesford/Hepburn Springs on your return to Melbourne.

Rooms and rates

The Homestead sleeps up to 14 adults in 5 bedrooms. The configuration is
a room with a king/split singles bed, a room with a queen-size bed and one single, a room with a long double bed, a room with one double bed and the fifth bedroom with double bed and twin singles. A portacot is available and two extra roll out single beds. All linen is provided, white cotton sheets and towel sets.

Short stays rates in Homestead - minimum stay 2 days is
$90 per single adult in own room,
$120 - $130 per couple/twin and $45 per child.
Preferred changeover days - Friday or Monday, but flexible.
Discounts for groups of 12 or more adults and longer stays.
There is a service charge for pets of $10 per short stay for each socialised and house trained pet.
