Cape Schanck, Victoria
Dene on the Cape is a beautifully appointed lodging overlooking Bass Strait on the Mornington Peninsula.
"Lovely accommodation: spacious, quiet, private, beautiful location, generous breakfasts and a very friendly dog! Enjoyed this property and would recommend to anyone looking for Peninsula accommodation off the main tourist strip yet still close to all attractions, would suit couples, families or small groups equally well."

"Our stay was all we needed, very relaxing atmosphere, cosy stay and we got to share the beautiful property with our dog shazza. Dene on the cape is very central to everything on the peninsula. A hyped stay or as ours was a relaxing stay with our 4 month old baby. We loved listening to the rain hitting the corrigated roof, Belisimo! A drive down to Flinders for great food, coffee and wine.
Great golf courses, to many to choose from but my favourite Flinders over looking the beach. I love just drivng the road through the course looking at the picturess course and wild waves of the ocean either side of the road.
Saturday night a SENSATIONAL dinner at Montalto winery, loved the Pinot, meal was BEAUTIFUL, Service was even better.
A weekend is not long enough to do and see all you need to on the peninsula but Denes location is perfect for doing the Flinders, Red Hill, Cape shanck areas.
You wont go hungary with Gail & Chris' continental breakfasts, A loaf of bread, muffins, crossaints and a loaf of raison toast. A bottle of OJ, every cereal possibble and yoghurt and both full cream or skim milk to choose from. Magnificent
We cant wait to go back for a week, away from the foreshore riff raff, We plan on taking friends with us next time to share this beautiful location and offering on gails 5 acre property. The barn will easily fit, 2 adult couples and two children with some couches to take any more kids, other wise 6 adults will be very comfortable.
You wont be dissapointed. "

"Very friendly hosts. Our energetic JRT's had an absolute ball with Tyson and the horses. Great location and views. Can recommend to amateur astronomers with great dark skies. Also enjoyed the welcoming touches. Hope to go back. Phil, Anita and the kids. "

"Excellent accommodation- very well appointed interior and lovely surrounding yards. The food that was left for breakfast (croissants, all varieties of jams etc, yoghurt, fruit) was brilliant - great variety and plenty of it. A bottle of wine and chocolates was a great addition.
Very friendly dog and horses who put up with my whippet bouncing all over the place.
Excellent hosts who were most obliging. One thought - a sign out the front would help people find the place as the red barn cannot be easily seen from the road. "
